Risk Disclaimer
Version 1.0 · Last updated 13 October 2026
In short
- You can lose some or all of the $USDC you deposit. Only deposit what you can afford to lose.
- NuWealth strategies trade perpetual futures, a type of derivative, on Hyperliquid. Some use leverage (borrowed funds), so price moves count more, in both directions.
- NuWealth is the vault leader that makes the trading decisions, by fixed rules. No AI makes live trading decisions.
- Past results, including results from testing, do not predict future results.
- Nobody insures your deposit. Nothing we publish is financial advice.
What happens to your deposit
When you deposit, your $USDC goes into a vault on Hyperliquid, a decentralized exchange. Some vaults are Hyperliquid vaults. Others run through Buoy Finance, a separate protocol on Hyperliquid. NuWealth is the leader of each vault: our strategies trade the pooled deposits in the vault around the clock, using fixed rules, and the value of your share rises and falls with those trades. The minimum deposit is $25.
What can go wrong
1. Market risk. Crypto prices can rise or fall sharply in minutes, at any hour. A strategy can have long bad stretches.
2. Perpetual futures. The strategies do not buy and hold coins. They trade contracts that follow a coin’s price. A position can lose whether the price rises or falls.
3. Leverage and liquidation. Some positions are opened with borrowed funds. This is called leverage. A position can be larger than the $USDC behind it, so a small price move becomes a larger move in the value of your deposit. If the price moves far enough against a position, Hyperliquid closes it automatically. This is called liquidation. The loss is then final. It does not come back when prices recover. Strategies take different amounts of borrowed exposure, and holding more than one NuWealth strategy may not spread your risk, because different strategies can move the same way at the same time.
4. Strategy risk. Each strategy follows fixed rules. People and AI tools designed and tested those rules in our lab, but no AI makes live trading decisions. Rules that worked in the past can stop working when markets change. Automation removes hesitation. It does not remove market risk. A software error, a missed signal or a delay can cause losses. Any safety line we publish is a design aim, not a limit on what you can lose. If a strategy passes it, we may pause the strategy, but pausing does not undo losses already made.
5. Testing figures are hypothetical. Figures from testing come from applying today’s rules to past market data, with the benefit of hindsight. No real $USDC was traded. Real trading has costs, delays and price gaps that testing can miss. Live results can be much worse.
6. Vault leader risk. NuWealth decides when each strategy trades, and we can pause, change or close a strategy. We are an early stage project. We could make mistakes, our systems could fail, or we could stop operating. If a vault closes, each depositor receives their share at its value on that day, which may be less than they put in.
7. Protocol and smart contract risk. Hyperliquid, Buoy Finance and the networks they run on can have bugs, hacks, price feed errors, outages or rule changes. Any of these could freeze or lose some or all of your $USDC. NuWealth does not control Hyperliquid or Buoy.
8. Buoy admin risk (Buoy vaults only). Buoy is controlled by a single admin wallet. It can pause vaults, change vault settings such as the fee and the leader, and upgrade Buoy’s shared contracts at any time. Because it can upgrade the contracts, a misused or stolen admin key could, in the worst case, take some or all of the $USDC in Buoy vaults. NuWealth does not control this wallet.
9. Wallet and key risk. Your wallet is created by our wallet provider, Privy, and opened with your email or Google sign in. To move $USDC into and out of Hyperliquid vaults, the app may also keep a limited Hyperliquid key (an “agent key”) unencrypted in your browser’s storage. Anyone who gets into your email, your Google account, your device or your browser, or who gets a private key you exported, may be able to move your $USDC or act on your Hyperliquid account. Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed, and lost keys cannot be recovered.
10. Bridge and network risk. Moving $USDC between networks uses third party bridges such as Relay and Across. They can be delayed, fail or be attacked. Network fees change.
11. Withdrawal timing. You cannot always withdraw at once. On Hyperliquid vaults, your whole position is locked for 24 hours after each deposit. Buoy withdrawals are requests that usually settle in minutes but can take longer while the vault frees up cash. Positions may be partly closed to pay you, which can reduce what you receive. The amount you receive is set when the withdrawal settles, not when you tap the button.
12. Fees. When a strategy makes gains, 10% of those gains goes to NuWealth, as set out in the Terms of Service. Network, bridge and request fees also apply. Fees reduce what you keep.
13. Legal and tax risk. Laws on crypto and derivatives differ by place and change often. A change could force us to close a strategy or stop deposits from where you are. You are responsible for your own taxes.
14. Not available everywhere. NuWealth is not available to anyone who lives in or is located in the US or Ontario, Canada, or to anyone in or from a sanctioned region. See section 3 of the Terms of Service. You must also follow Hyperliquid’s own terms.
If you do not understand these risks, do not deposit.
